BWC was founded in Buttes, Switzerland after the economic crisis of 1923 by Arthur Charlet. The company still exist today but has since moved it's operations in Germany.
The surfboard chronograph was made famous towards the end of 60's towards the mid 70's. The term surfboard refers to the conjoined subregister with that distinct elipse shape. It truly stands out. Bulova, Breitling, Vulcain, LeJour, and many others have been sought after by collectors. Though some of the sub markers have faded, the case with its brushed bezel is very well in tact which is great for a chronium case.
